Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes how Kendall County Busted Mugshots handles information received through its pages, search widgets, contact channels, cookies, and technical systems. It does not change the privacy policy of a Sheriff, jail, police department, court, state agency, search partner, advertiser, or other linked service.

Information Sent Through Search

A name or location entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that search experience. Kendall County Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own servers as part of the ordinary widget flow. The provider may receive the entered information, technical details, and referral information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Before using a partner search, read the provider’s current notice. A search result from a partner is not an official Kendall County Sheriff, jail, court, or Illinois Department of Corrections record.

Messages and Contact Details

If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and the supplied reply details are kept long enough to answer, maintain a record of the exchange, address a legal request, or protect the service. Those messages are not shared outside the operating organization except when a service provider is needed to deliver the message or disclosure is required by law.

Do not include Social Security numbers, full financial details, medical information, or other sensitive material that is not needed to describe a question.

Technical Data and Cookies

When a visitor opens a page, ordinary server and analytics systems may receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the service.

  • Internet Protocol address and approximate network information.
  • Browser name, version, language, and device type.
  • Operating system and screen or connection details where supplied.
  • Pages viewed, time spent, referring page, and interaction events.
  • Date and time stamps, error details, and security logs.

Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand page use, remember settings, support analytics, deliver advertising, or help a partner route a request. A browser can block or delete cookies. Some page features may behave differently when they are blocked. The settings and retention practices of an analytics or advertising provider are governed by that provider’s own notice.

Why Information Is Used

Information is used for ordinary service and safety purposes, including:

  • Keeping the pages available, secure, and reasonably fast.
  • Sending a search request to the selected provider.
  • Answering a message and maintaining communication records.
  • Measuring which content is useful and finding technical faults.
  • Showing advertising or partner offers that may be relevant to a visitor.
  • Enforcing terms, preventing abuse, and responding to lawful requests.

Links to Other Services

The pages link to Kendall County Sheriff and Corrections systems, municipal police departments, the Circuit Clerk, Illinois Department of Corrections, federal locators, local news, and secondary sources. Once a visitor follows one of those links, that organization’s privacy practices control the information collected there. A government portal, news outlet, or commercial provider may set cookies, request identifying details, or retain a search in a way this service does not.

Outbound links are supplied for source access and context. They are not a promise that an external page will remain available or that its content is complete.

Who May Receive Information

Personal information is not sold as a standalone mailing list. It may be received by the parties needed to run the pages or respond to a lawful request.

  • Search partners that process an entered query or referral.
  • Analytics, hosting, security, and technical service providers.
  • Advertising networks or measurement providers.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order or other lawful duty requires disclosure.

Information may also be transferred as part of a business change, subject to applicable law and any required notice.

Security and Retention

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used for information under the operator’s control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, and no promise can be made that a breach will never occur. Data is retained only as long as needed for the purpose collected, a business record, a dispute, security, or a legal requirement.

Records held by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, the jail, police departments, courts, or state agencies are controlled by those custodians and their own retention rules. This notice does not govern an official booking record or a public court file.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, a parent or guardian may request that it be reviewed and deleted where the operator can identify and control it. Official juvenile records remain governed by the agency and court rules that apply to those records.

Visitor Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a visitor may ask what personal information the operator holds, request a correction, ask for deletion, or object to a particular use. A request should identify the information and the contact point used to submit it. Some data may need to be retained for security, legal compliance, or proof of a transaction.

  • Request a copy of personal information held by the operator.
  • Ask that an inaccurate contact detail be corrected.
  • Request deletion where no legal or operational need requires retention.
  • Opt out of certain cookies, analytics, or partner processing through browser or provider controls.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised when the service, legal requirements, vendors, or information practices change. The updated wording will be posted on this page with a new effective date or revision note when appropriate. Continued use after a change means the updated notice applies to later use, subject to rights provided by law.
